Convection flues are generally laid with insulated concrete and lightweight formed insulation material. Necessary testing of furnace building materials should be carried out before construction. There are two types of furnace wall materials commonly used in convection flues: amorphous furnace wall materials and formed insulation materials.
(1)Amorphous furnace wall materials
Amorphous furnace wall materials mainly include refractory concrete and insulation concrete. Generally, appropriate furnace wall materials can be selected according to working temperature of refractory concrete mentioned above.
(2) Formed insulation material
Formed thermal insulation materials include diatomite brick, diatomite board, expanded vermiculite products, expanded perlite products, rock wool products and foam asbestos products.
