Performance of calcium silicate insulation board

Performance of calcium silicate insulation board

The application of calcium silicate insulation board is gradually widespread; It has a bulk density of 130-230kg/m3, a flexural strength of 0.2-0.6MPa, a linear shrinkage of ≤ 2% after firing at 1000 ℃, a thermal conductivity of 0.05-0.06W/(m · K), and a service temperature of 500-1000 ℃. Calcium silicate insulation board, as an insulation layer for various kilns and thermal equipment, has good insulation effect. Using calcium silicate insulation board can reduce the thickness of the lining, and it is also convenient for construction. Therefore, calcium silicate insulation board has been widely used.

Calcium silicate insulation board is made of refractory raw materials, fiber materials, binders, and additives. It belongs to the category of non fired bricks and is also an important variety of lightweight insulation products. Its characteristics are light weight and low thermal conductivity, mainly used for continuous casting tundish, etc. Its performance is good.
Calcium silicate insulation board is mainly used in continuous casting tundish and mold cap mouth, therefore it is called tundish insulation board and mold insulation board respectively. The insulation board of the tundish is divided into wall panels, end panels, bottom panels, cover panels, and impact panels, and its performance varies depending on the location of use. The board has good thermal insulation effect and can reduce the tapping temperature; Direct use without baking, saving fuel; Convenient masonry and demolition can accelerate the turnover of the tundish. Impact panels are generally made of high alumina or aluminum-magnesium refractory castables, and sometimes heat-resistant steel fibers are added. Meanwhile, the permanent lining of the tundish can be used for a long time, which can reduce the consumption of refractory materials.
