Construction of refractory insulation products for glass furnace 2

This issue will continue to introduce the construction method of refractory insulation products used for the crown of the melting part and regenerator - hot insulation layer construction.

2. Construction of thermal insulation layer
(1) Melter arch and regenerator crown
Since the thermal insulation coating is in paste form and the construction is very convenient, construction of insulation layer can be implemented after the completion of kiln baking, the expansion joint and the sealing of the middle part of the crown and the paving of light thermal insulation bricks. Because a large amount of water vapor will be discharged during the insulation and drying process of the insulation layer, it is very easy to fall off if the coating is too thick at one time, so the first coating thickness should be controlled within 10mm, and then the coating thickness can be gradually increased until the specified requirements are met, and the last layer can be plastered.
(2) Side wall part
Because the thermal insulation coating is paste-like and the paste density is relatively high, when the thickness of the coating is relatively thick on the vertical surface at one time, a large amount of water vapor will be released along with the internal drying process, and a large area of peeling may occur. Therefore, when the surface temperature exceeds 50 ℃, the thickness of the first layer is generally required not exceed 2-3mm. After the first layer is dried, the second layer can be applied, and its thickness is controlled at about 10mm, and the third layer can be thickened appropriately, until the specified thickness is reached. The final leveling and another calendering treatment shall be carried out when the moisture volatilization is about 60% to ensure the smooth and beautiful surface. This refractory insulation products generally does not need waterproof treatment when used indoors.
