(2) Chemical stability
The chemical stability of aluminum silicate ceramic fiber mainly depends on its Chemical composition and impurity content. This material has an extremely low alkali content and hardly interacts with hot and cold water, making it very stable in an oxidizing atmosphere. However, in a strong reducing atmosphere, impurities such as FeO3 and TiO2 in the fibers are easily reduced, which will affect its service life
(3)Density and thermal conductivity
With different production processes, the density of aluminum silicate ceramic fiber varies greatly, generally in the range of 50~500kg/m3. Thermal conductivity is the main indicator for evaluating the performance of refractory insulation materials. Low thermal conductivity is one of the main reasons why aluminum silicate ceramic fiber has better fire resistance and thermal insulation performance than other similar materials. In addition, its thermal conductivity, like other fire-resistant insulation materials, is not a constant and will change according to density and temperature.

The aluminum silicate ceramic fiber is light in weight, easy to process, and can be made into various products after adding a binder. There are also different specifications of felt, blankets, and other finished products, which are extremely convenient to use.
