3. Advantages compared with heavy refractory materials
(1) The energy saving effect is obvious
After using high temp ceramic fiber board, because of its excellent thermal insulation performance, low thermal conductivity, low heat loss,the external furnace wall temperature is low, the temperature inside the furnace will drop very slowly during short-term shutdowns, and the temperature rises quickly when furnace restarts .
(2) Improve the equipment capacity of the shift converter
For the shift converter of the same specification, using high temp ceramic fiber board as furnace lining can increase the effective volume of the furnace hearth by 40% than using refractory bricks or castables, thereby increasing the loading quantity, and improving the equipment capacity.
(3) Reduce the weight of the shift converter
Since the density of high temp ceramic fiber board is 220~250kg/m3, and the density of refractory brick or castable is no less than 2300kg/m3, using high temp ceramic fiber board is about 80% lighter than using heavy refractory material as lining.
